T-shirts

A t-shirt is mostly print, collar and fabric surface. A straight-on, evenly lit shot is what lets you read logo edges and collar rib; a folded or angled photo often smooths over the very things worth checking.

What to look at in t-shirts photos

  • Print and logo: sharp edges, correct proportions, centred placement and no cracking on a close view.
  • Collar and ribbing: an even rib, a collar that lies flat, no twisting at the side seams.
  • Fabric surface: visible weave, pilling or thin spots that a straight-on shot can reveal.
  • Tags and neck label: the text on the inner label, readable rather than assumed.
