Common questions about reading QC photos
Plain answers to the questions that come up most when people read quality-check photos. These are editorial answers based on how photos and these listings actually work — not survey data.
Does the image show the exact item I will receive?
No. A quality-check photo shows one physical item that someone inspected at one moment. Stock, batches and variants change over time, and the piece sent to you is a different unit. Read the photo for what's visibly true in the frame, and treat the rest as open questions.
Does an Oopbuy link — or any agent link — prove Oopbuy took the photo?
No. A link on a listing is a way to open that listing through an agent; it doesn't tell you who photographed the item or where. Don't infer a photographer, a seller or a warehouse from which agents are listed.
Can lighting really change the apparent colour?
Yes, more than most people expect. Warm or cool light, a camera's white-balance guess and your own screen all shift colour. You can read relative differences in a well-lit shot, but not an exact shade. If colour is decisive, ask for a daylight photo against a plain white background.
What is a useful missing-angle request?
A specific one. Instead of "more photos", ask for a named view of a named detail — for example "a flat-lay of the back" or "a close-up of the inner label, sharp enough to read". Specific requests are easy to act on and get better answers.
Is a quality-check photo proof that an item is authentic?
No. Looking at photos is not authentication. It can show visible workmanship — stitching, print alignment, obvious damage — but it cannot establish authenticity, materials, durability, fit or safety. Anyone claiming a photo "verifies" a product is overstating what a photo can do.
Why do some listings here have no photos to read?
Some source listings simply don't publish quality-check photos. When that's the case we say so plainly rather than showing a stand-in image or a fake count. If you order such an item, you can ask your agent for photos of the exact piece before it ships.
Are the prices on this site final?
No. Prices shown are the seller's listing price in Chinese yuan (CNY), with an indicative US-dollar approximation at a dated reference rate. They exclude the agent service fee, domestic and international shipping and any duties. The checkout page decides what you actually pay.
Can you open this item on Oopbuy for me?
